Your guide to the SFS Platform
Find your ticket, explore the programme and arrange meetings with other attendees. This guide explains how to use the app, from your first login to the day of the event.
What would you like to do?
Before you start
You can use the SFS Platform in the browser on your computer or smartphone, with nothing to download from the app stores. The features available to you may vary depending on the ticket you bought.
Create an account and log in
Your account is your personal space on the SFS Platform. To log in, you will use your email, your password and a verification code sent to you by email.
First time here? Sign up
Open the sign-up page
On the login page, select Sign up.
Enter your email
Use the address your ticket is registered to. If you haven’t bought it yet, use the same address for the ticket too.
Read and tick the required boxes
Read the privacy policy and the terms of service, then tick the required box. You can also choose to receive updates about the event: this option is not required. Select Sign up.
Confirm your email address
Open the “Confirm your email address” email, follow the link and select Continue on the page that opens.
Choose your password
Enter the same password in New password and Confirm new password, then select Save. The indicator helps you judge how secure it is; we recommend at least 12 characters.
Can’t find the confirmation email? Check your Spam and Promotions folders too. On the “Check your email” page you can select Resend Link, once a minute.
Already have an account? Log in
Enter your email and password
Fill in the two fields on the login page and select Login.
Get the code from your email
You will receive a 6-digit verification code. Keep the login page open while you check your inbox.
Confirm your login
Go back to the platform, enter the code in the boxes and select Confirm. You can also paste all 6 digits at once.
The code is valid for 10 minutes. If it doesn’t arrive, check Spam and Promotions and, after a minute, use Resend Link. If it has expired, start again from the login page. After 5 incorrect codes, you need to wait a few minutes before trying again.
Forgotten your password?
Request a link to change it
On the login page, select Forgot Password?, enter your email and choose Resend Link.
Open the email you receive
Follow the “Reset your password” link and select Continue.
Save a new password
Enter the new password in both fields and select Save. You can then log in with the new password and complete the email verification.
Confirmation and password recovery links can only be used once. If you see “This link is no longer valid”, select Request a new link and open the most recent email.
Introduce yourself to the other attendees
The first time you log in, the platform guides you through creating your profile. Complete this step to access the other sections.
Enter your personal information
Fill in First name, Last name, Company and Role: an asterisk marks the required fields. If you like, add a photo by selecting the box or dragging it in. PNG, JPG and WEBP formats are accepted. Select Continue →.
Add a short introduction
In the Bio field you can describe what you do. You can also add links to your website or to your LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter profiles; links are optional.
Choose whether to be visible
The Show my profile to the other attendees option is already on. Leave it on to appear in the event lists; turn it off if you prefer not to appear.
Finish the setup
Select Finish to save your profile and open the platform’s home page.
You can update it later too. A recognisable photo and a short introduction help others understand who you are. You can change your details and visibility in the Profile section.
Find your ticket and get into the event
The Ticket section shows the tickets registered to your email. Each ticket contains the QR code to show at the entrance.
Open your ticket
Go to Ticket
Open Ticket from the menu and look for the ticket for your event. The Active and Past tabs separate current tickets from those for events that have ended.
Select the ticket
Open the details to see the QR code, the ticket type, your details and the event information.
Show the QR code at the entrance
You can show it directly on your phone. With Download the ticket (PDF) you can also save a copy or print it.
Is your ticket “Being issued”? It is still being prepared: the QR code and PDF will be available once it has been issued. The ticket details include Contact support if you need help.
Still need to buy one?
Purchases are completed in the official online shop, which you can reach from the platform.
Choose your event and ticket
Go to Events, open the event and, in the Overview tab, find the Ticket box. Choose the ticket type and select Buy.
Copy your account email
In the window that opens, select Copy email. This helps you use the same address without mistakes.
Complete your purchase in the shop
Select Go to the shop: a new browser tab opens. Use the email you copied for your ticket and follow the purchase steps.
Buying for other people too? Each attendee sees their own ticket by signing up with the email that ticket is registered to. The email of the person paying can therefore be different from the attendee’s.
Already bought a ticket but can’t find it? See the dedicated answer.
Explore the event and check the programme
Open Events from the menu and select the one you are interested in. The list shows upcoming and ongoing events first, followed by those that have ended.
What you’ll find on an event page
| Tab | What you can check |
|---|---|
| Overview | General information: description, dates, times, tickets, address and floor plan. |
| Programme | Sessions and activities, organised by day. |
| Speaker | The people speaking on stage and their profiles. |
| Partner | The companies supporting the event and their contacts. |
| Attendees | The people attending the event who have chosen to make their profile visible. |
If a tab can’t be selected, its content may not have been published yet, or your ticket may not include access to it.
Find a session in the programme
Open Programme and choose the day
If the event runs over several days, select the one you want to check.
Search for what interests you
Enter the title of a session or the name of a speaker in the search field.
Use the filters to narrow down the results
Stage indicates the stage or room, Format the type of session and Category the associated category. To remove the filters, select Clear filters.
Open the details
Select the session title to read the description. You can also open a speaker’s profile to find out more about them.
Find the address and get your bearings on site
The Overview tab also contains practical information:
- Description: select Show more to read the full text.
- Location: this is the event address. Get directions opens directions in Google Maps. If the map isn’t visible after you have chosen essential cookies, use Show map.
- Venue: this is the floor plan. Select Download to save it as a PDF and refer to it during the event.
Get to know the people at the event
From the event page you can discover who is speaking, which companies are taking part as partners and who you can contact.
- Speaker: search for a person by name, role or company.
- Partner: browse the companies, grouped by category. Contacts are the people to get in touch with at each company.
- Attendees: view the visible profiles of the people attending the same event as you.
What you can do from a profile card
| Action | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Info | Reading the person’s introduction, bio, any sessions in the programme and social links. |
| Details | Opening a partner company’s information. |
| Book a meeting | Proposing an in-person meeting during the event. Find out how to send a request. |
| Paper plane icon | Opening a conversation with that person. Find out how to use chat. |
How to read availability
The words “slots available” indicate the times still free for a meeting. A green dot means several times are free, a yellow one means few times are left and a red one means no times are available.
Can’t see a contact button? The actions depend on the features of your ticket and on the person’s settings. You can only send a request or a message when the action is available.
Arrange and manage your meetings
A meeting is an in-person appointment during the event. You can propose one to a speaker, a partner contact or another attendee.
A request is not yet a confirmed meeting. The meeting is only set once the request is accepted. You will then see the day, time and station, meaning the table where you will meet.
The feature must be active for the event and included in your ticket.
Send a request
Find the person you want to meet
On the event page, open Speaker, Partner or Attendees. On the person’s card, select Book a meeting. For a partner, choose one of their contacts.
Choose a day and time
Check the available times and the meeting length, shown at the top. Select the time you prefer.
Send your proposal
Select Send request. You can follow it under Meeting → Sent. When the other person replies, you receive a notification and an email.
You can’t have two confirmed meetings at the same time. If the organisers set a maximum number of meetings per event, the platform lets you know when you reach the limit.
Reply to a request you’ve received
Open the requests you’ve received
Go to Meeting → Received and check who wants to meet you and at what time.
Accept or decline
Select Accept to confirm the meeting: a station is assigned automatically. If you can’t attend, select Decline and confirm your choice.
When you confirm a meeting Any other pending requests for the same time are cancelled. Check your appointments before accepting.
Show when you’re available
If you can receive meeting requests, choose the times others can book.
Open your availability
In Meeting, select Manage availability. If you are attending several events, first choose the one to manage.
Select your times and save
For each day, select the time slots when you can meet other people, then choose Save. Others will be able to propose a meeting at these times.
If you remove a time slot, any pending requests for that time are cancelled. If there is already a confirmed meeting, you must cancel it before removing the slot.
Check the status of your meetings
Received shows the requests that have come to you; Sent shows those you have sent. The status tells you where each one stands.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The request hasn’t had a reply yet: the meeting is not confirmed. |
| Confirmed | The meeting is set. Check the day, time and station. |
| Declined | The request was not accepted. |
| Cancelled | The request or meeting has been cancelled. |
| Completed | The meeting time has passed. |
Can’t make it any more?
To withdraw a request you sent that is still pending, select Cancel and confirm. You can also cancel a confirmed meeting, as long as it hasn’t started: the other person is notified.
About 15 minutes before the meeting you receive a reminder. Check the station shown and get there on time. After the meeting has started, or after the event has ended, you can view meetings but not change them.
Talk to other attendees
Use chat to introduce yourself, exchange information or make arrangements with the people at your event. You can also pick up conversations after the summit.
Start a conversation
Open Chat
On a computer, select Chat in the menu; on a smartphone, use the speech bubble icon at the top.
Choose the person
Select New conversation, search by first name, last name or company and choose Write. You can also start from a person’s card by selecting the paper plane icon.
Write and send your message
Use the field at the bottom of the conversation. Press Enter to send; on a computer, Shift + Enter starts a new line without sending.
Read messages and reply
Open a conversation from the list to read messages and reply. A dot marks those you haven’t read yet. New messages appear automatically, without reloading the page.
Who can you message? You can contact people at the same event as you who have a visible profile and chat enabled. Some tickets let you reply to messages you receive, but not start a new conversation: in that case New conversation doesn’t appear.
Want to turn chat off?
Go to Profile → Login & privacy and change your preferences under Privacy & consents. Turn off Chat enabled to stop exchanging messages. You can still read your previous conversations.
Stay up to date on messages and meetings
Notifications bring together messages from the organisers, new chat messages and updates on your meetings.

Select the icon at the top to see your latest notifications.
Read a notification
Select it to open the related content, such as a conversation or a meeting. The notification is marked as read.
Open the full list

Turn on alerts
Select Enable on this device.
Allow notifications
When your browser asks for permission to show you alerts, select Allow.

Update your profile and choose who can contact you
On a computer, open your profile from your photo at the top right. On a smartphone, select Profile in the bottom bar.

The Profile details tab contains:
- Personal information: photo, first name, last name, role, company and bio.
- Contact details: your mobile number.
- Links: up to 4 links, for example to your website or LinkedIn.
Select Edit in the box you want to update, change the details and choose Save.
Change your email or password
Open Login & privacy and use the Password box to change your password or the email you log in with. You will be asked for your current password. If you don’t remember it, select Forgot it? and follow the recovery steps.
